Main focuses of treatment

Neural therapy

One of the most important naturopathic treatments is the neural therapy, which has been developed by the brothers Hüneke at the beginning of the 20th century.

In the field of neural therapy, the human body is thought of as one omnipresent synapse. Even the smallest stimulus results in a reaction of all systems of the body. This means that every cell which is malfuctioning is able to cause further disturbances in other parts of the body. Injecting the person with various substances helps the body to eliminate the problem. Occasionally, the phenomenon of immediate improvement can be observed.

Neural therapy is used to regulate hormonal and vegetative imbalances and to treat pain, discomfort in the spinal area, arthrosis, arthritis, and epikondylitis (tennis elbow).

Scar treatment:
Scars can cause lasting disturbances in the lymphatic and the energetic system (meridian). This can lead to problems in the general area of the scar tissue. However, it is also possible for the discomfort to shift to another place entirely and thus, appear to have no discernible reason.

After solving these blockages, the energy is able to flow freely to where it is needed.

Therapeutic indications:

- painful or numb scar tissue

- red-ish or blue-ish discoloured scar tissue

- thick or deformed scar tissue

Scalp acupuncture
YNSA is short for Yamamoto New Scalp Acupuncture and has been developed by Japanese doctor Toshikatsu in the 1960ies and concentrates mainly on the different somatotopes which can be found on the scalp. These cranial regions are connected to different parts and functions of the body.

These acupuncture points are determined by palpation and the diagnosis of stomach and throat. It is primarily used to treat pain and neurological illnesses.

Trigger acupuncture
During the last few years, it has become apparent that a lot of pain originates in the muscles. On the one hand, this is often caused by overstraining or injuries. On the other, it is also possible for problems to develop over time with no discernible reason.

A so called triggerpoint can be the cause of a whole range of problems: back pain, shoulder and arm pain, far reaching arm and leg pain, headaches, joint pain, irritation of the tendons.

An acupuncture needle is used to locate and unblock these trigger points. This actions relieves tension, improves local circulation and lowers inflammation.

Phonophoresis
Phonophoresis uses vibrations which are transferred to muscles, bones, organs, and chakras with the help of a tuning fork to cure certain conditions.

The tuning fork is applied to different points which harmonizes and strengthens the energy system and boost the powers of self-healing.

These distinct vibrations result in pleasant feelings, often directly after application. The patient is able to breathe deeply, after one end of the fork has been applied to the sternum.

Healers use this method alternatively to traditional acupunture, e.g. with children or persons who fear needles. Another advantage is the wider effect of the vibrations which makes it unneccessary to hit the acupuncture point directly.

Purging procedures
In practice, cupping is one of the easiest way to treat bodily imbalances. Many illnesses will disappear after an intense cupping session.

There are nerve fibres which not only connect spine and specific organs, but also make their way to different regions of the skin (Head's zones). Treating these zones will affect the spine which in turn has effects on the connected organs.

It is also possible to explain the way cupping works by referring to reflexology or the different acupuncture points of the back.

Baunscheidt therapy
During this procedure, the skin is purposely irritated by pricking it and applying special pastes or oils. It is a traditional method which has been applied for a long time.

"The Baunscheidt therapy doesn't need to know the name of the illness, it acts on the assumption that there is something disturbing your system that needs to be exorcized." (C. Baunscheidt)

Therapeutic indications:

- pains caused by degeneration of the locomotory system

- general proneness to infections and chronic colds

- acute and chronic inflammations (e.g. urinary tract infections, nervous gastritis, stomach weakness, pancreas weakness, constipation, irritable colon, etc.

- psychic illnesses

Spagyrics
Spagyric remedies are used to treat many acute, but more importantly chronic illnesses by combining the advantages of phytotherapy with homeopathy.

These complex mixtures consist of medicinal herbs, metals and mineral and are individually chosen for and adapted to the patient.

Phytotherapy
Phytotherapy is one of the tried and tested pillars of naturopathy in general and integral part of Kneipp's teachings. Medicinal components of plants and the various preparations thereof (extracts, powders, tictures, etc.) are used.

Dorn spinal therapy
Dorn therapy, which has been developed by healer Dieter Dorn around 1975, is a form of manual, complimentary therapy which also incorporates elements of traditional Chinese medicine.

Lack of exercise and inappropriate mechanical stress are the leading causes of spine and pelvis problems, back pain and many similar conditions.

During Dorn therapy, vertebrae which cause problems are realigned with the help of the patients themselves and by applying pressure.

One of the reasons why this therapy is so effective can be found in reflexology, which explains the influence on inner organs, meridians and mind.

Areas of application:

- sciatica

- cervical spine syndrome

- lumbar pain

- thoracic spine problems resulting in numb fingertips or hands

- migraine

- tinnitus

- scoliosis

- blockage of vertebrae

- differences in leg lengt (askew pelvic)
